April Meeting: April 19, 2018 @ 7pm At The Grey Wolfe Scriptorium
Do you work within the literary industry? Whether you’re an author, cover designer, editor, publisher, literary agent, bookshop manager, or someone else connected to books and the written word in some way… you should know about The Idea Lab.
Our goal is to build a “Master Mind” group where we will learn together, share together, support each other, and help drive the success of our industry. Our intention is to create a safe place where we can test ideas, combat frustration, and grow our careers with energy and excitement.
The basic definition of a "MasterMind" group is: A peer-to-peer mentoring concept used to help members solve their problems with input and advice from the other group members.
We want The Idea Lab to be your Michigan go-to resource for brainstorming, building, growing, and celebrating your careers. No one knows the literary industry like we do - so let's pool our resources and support each other on this journey with enthusiasm for the written word!
In April, we will be focusing on topics for both the novice writer, as well as the established author. For Novice Writers: We'll be discussing "Wrangling Creativity". For Established Authors: We'll be discussing "The Festival Season; an Idea Exchange".
Writers of every age, stage, and genre are welcome to join us! There are NO membership fees! Bring your ideas and questions... share in this dynamic brainstorming opportunity to move your literary career forward! Light refreshments will be served. Please RSVP to 248-629-6800, and leave a message for Diana Kathryn... or join our new Facebook Group Page!
